In creating Untea’d tea powder, we aim to preserve the soul of fine loose-leaf tea and capture it in smooth, weighted TeaCaps. Through careful freeze-drying, the full aroma, flavour and life of the leaf remain intact for you to enjoy wherever and however you wish.

The origin of Untea'd
Growing up in southern China, tea was spoken of with the gentle reminder to have it when you have the time. For many years, through work and study and the obligations of daily life, that time rarely came for me. Tea remained a companion, but one met only in passing.
One day, whilst I was studying in the United States, a mentor offered me a pack of freeze-dried instant tea that bloomed instantly in cold water. The fragrance rose first, followed by a clear, honest flavour. A small moment, certainly, but one that irrevocably shifted something in my mind.
Years later in Melbourne, as I studied food science and agriculture, I returned to that memory. Since 2022, my team and I have worked tirelessly to refine the process, preserving the delicate essence of tea so it can travel easily into busy lives.
Untea'd grew from a simple wish: to let people who truly love tea find it again, without the usual barriers of time or tools.

Each spring, my team of tea specialists and I head to the source.
We spend time in the tea regions, living with the farmers, walking the hills, picking and processing alongside them. Every place carries its own voice, shaped by soil, climate and the quiet knowledge passed through generations.
Understanding tea means respecting and acknowledging its origins, and from these journeys, we choose leaves that locals themselves reach for. Freeze-drying then holds their freshness at its peak: the volatile aromatics, the layered flavour, the natural goodness. What reaches you is tea in its truest form; nothing added, nothing lost.
